Child Care Services Association (CCSA) is a nationally recognized non-profit organization working to ensure affordable, accessible, high quality child care for all families through research, services and advocacy, headquartered in the Triangle region of North Carolina. We are looking for an action-oriented individual to join our dynamic team as a Child Care Bilingual Scholarship Counselor in our Durham, NC office.

The qualified candidate will determine eligibility for child care scholarship programs administered by CCSA, connect families to other programs for which they may have eligibility and help those families find appropriate, high quality child care. This position serves as a communication link between Spanish-speaking families and their child care providers, informing families about community resources, educating families about what to look when seeking child care providers, determining eligibility for scholarships through a screening process, utilizing database to enter program information and other tasks as assigned by Program Coordinator.

Skills / Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood/Child Development or related human services field

Minimum of 2 years experience working directly with families and children with at least 1 year experience working with Spanish speaking families and providing translating/interpreting services

Fluent in Spanish (both verbal and written communication)

Computer experience, data entry skills and ability to use common office equipment
