Customer Service Rep
The Customer Service Representative is responsible for providing service to our clients through the placement and monitoring of orders and requests for information. Process telephone, mail, email and fax orders; provide pricing, availability, cross-reference, researching & sourcing of products for customers; forward potential product leads to sales reps; handle small informal quotes. Representatives will assist Territory Managers by placing out bound calls and generating leads. This position will also respond for follow up customer service requests and any additional information required by customer.



Position Summary:

Complete customer orders, quotes and inquiries by telephone for existing and prospective customers. Reviews a variety of screens and documents to estimate delivery of orders to meet customer requirements.
Process mail, fax, e-mail orders and hard copy quotes.
· Analyzes and resolves customer concerns using established procedures and follow up.

· Handles change order information from customers.

Investigates overdue and damaged shipments or shortages in shipments already received.
Assist customers with buying decisions: product research and pricing & availability.
Attend product/vendor/systems training meetings to stay up to date on new product lines and current systems.
Perform all other duties/projects as assigned.


Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

Customer service experience in a Call Center environment a plus.
College degree, life science preferred.
Team oriented.
Ability to manage customer expectations.
Strong problem solving ability.
Organizational and time management skills.
Excellent listening, oral, and written communication skills
Solid understanding of computer basics (Windows, Excel, Word, Email, and Internet)


The individual should be self-motivated, able to work well under pressure, learn easily and have the ability to develop and maintain constructive working relationships within and outside of the Company.
