Job Description:

The Territory Manager will sell laboratory equipment, supplies, chemicals & services to help scientific businesses throughout the world achieve their business objectives while maintaining their budgets requirements. Reporting to the Sales Manager, this position is responsible for focusing on building strong relationships with our prospects by listening to their needs and providing valuable solutions. The successful candidate will effectively communicate product and service solutions to mid size to large companies. This inside position is responsible for prospecting, selling, and closing the company’s service offerings while maintaining customer relationships and developing new opportunities.

Primary Responsibilities:

Responsible for aggressive cold calling, acquiring new business and creating long term revenue streams.
Creating strong relationships through person to person client meetings and internet webinars.
Cultivating new B2B & B2C relationships.
Define the market space and utilize consultative sales approach, creating a pipeline of prospects, and closing deals to meet monthly and quarterly performance goals and targets.
Work with product specialists to prepare complex, customized quotations and proposals.
Stay up-to-date on the latest competitive information and market trends.
Position Requirements:

The ideal candidate should possess at least 2+ years professional sales experience at 100% of quota.
History of prospecting and business development of new accounts
Experience selling to the Life Science market preferred, but science or laboratory industry sales, healthcare sales, academic considered
Knowledge of Laboratory products required.
Professional appearance and demeanor and the ability to listen and evaluate needs in order to design a solution for a client and express that solution in a “value” proposition are also required.
BA/BS Life Science degree preferred
