Job Description
The Associate III will actively participate in the prioritization of the groups work load based on business need and compliance. The Associate III may serve in the capacity of Change Owner or Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Change Plans and Orders. In addition, the Associate III may serve as the Investigator for Supplier Complaints ensuring effective CAPAs for failures of business process associated with Materials Change Management and Supplier Complaints. The Associate III is expected to have a solid understanding of change management and investigation practices. The Associate III should be able to work effectively both within the VM group and levels and facilities of the organization. The Associate III is expected to maintain their training on any and all procedures related to Material Change Control, Supplier Complaints, and Biogen’s required training curriculum. The Associate III will participate in projects applicable to Vendor Management including but not limited to development and enhancement of Quality Systems.

This position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, crisp and high-quality decision-making skills, and the ability to work with peers and management to plan work based on the business need. The Associate III should be self-aware of his or her own personal communication style and understand how to flex appropriately.

The Associate III is expected to model the Biogen Elements during interaction in the workplace.

Summary of Key Responsibilities:
•Works with area management and VM counterparts to plan and implement operation aspects of VM managed activities. Provides support as needed for Material changes and investigations; prioritizes work based on input from manager and compliance risk, manufacturing schedule, and where necessary, tracks and trends key indicators of VM metrics.
•Requests and reviews supplier documentation to support Materials Change Management, Supplier Complaints, and VM related project work.
•Participates effectively in cross-site and cross-functional teams as a representative of the Corporate Quality VM.
•Supports enhancement of the Quality Systems that govern VM processes at Biogen.
•Provides support as needed on projects that enhance VM processes.
•Cross-functional and project team leadership assignments consistent with personal strategic, operational and technical leadership

The Corporate Quality Vendor Management Associate III will possess a solid understanding of Biogen’s Quality systems and business processes associated with Change and Exception Management. The position requires:

•3+ years of relevant experience (B.S. degree) in role with relevant GMP experience
•Demonstrated oral and written communication skills including ability to communicate with peers, Biogen personnel, and vendor/supplier contacts in a timely manner and consistent with Biogen’s core behaviors.
•Strong organizational skills and the ability to work on and prioritize with manager’s input on multiple tasks
•Demonstrated problem solving/troubleshooting skills

B.S. degree (science preferred)

The Corporate Quality Operations Associate III will support operational aspects of Corporate Quality Globally for Biogen. The Associate III will interact with Biogen personnel and Raw Material Suppliers to drive processes forward including, but not limited to: Biogen’s Material Changes including Vendor Change Notifications, Raw Material changes, New Item Requests, and Biogen’s Supplier Complaint processes.
