Hiring Range: $54,580 to 84,591 
Hours: 8: a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Project Managers assigned to IT Governance project management office initiate, plan, execute, control and close all assigned projects. Ensures resources are aligned to meet the strategic objectives of the project; ensures project scope is delivered according to the business case. Once the IT Governance Steering Committee or CIO approves projects, is responsible for securing resources outlined in the business case, including issuing Requests for Proposals, scoring and selecting vendor, and negotiating contract with vendor during the planning phase of the project. Once vendor is selected, ensures compliance with the contract, manages expectations, monitors and approves change requests, and keeps the project stakeholders informed as to the status of the delivery. During project closing, is accountable to document the acceptance of the service and ensure that the expected business value is achieved for the City.
 

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Develops, plans, designs, implements, evaluates, maintains and/or supports enterprise software, hardware, network, and/or related technology solutions; manages complex technology projects; coordinates and performs application development testing, installation, deployment, configuration, and user support operations; and/or troubleshoots complex or escalated issues. 
  • Prepares, reviews, and/or maintains project and other reports, proposals, plans, licenses, contracts, and other documentation; work develops queries; creates scripts; researches and analyzes data, develops and makes recommendations; and ensures compliance with project contracts and applicable regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Coordinates with vendors, City departments, and/or external agencies; attends and facilitates meetings; provides user support and training, as assigned; assists with developing policies and procedures; and assesses client or department needs.
  • Initiating, planning, executing, and controlling and closing all assigned projects.

  • Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business or computer science or a directly related field or equivalent 
  • Two years project management experience

  • PMP Certification or other relevant IT Certifications
