    Position Summary

    This position is to be a part of the Cree Facilities Project Management group overseeing a large-scale manufacturing build project at Cree’s new Mohawk Valley NY site. This position includes a high level of collaboration with various consultants, Cree employees and contractor personnel and assumes responsibility for planning, developing, establishing and controlling methods and procedures for cleanroom and manufacturing space construction to increase overall effectiveness of Cree, Inc. facilities.

    Responsibilities:

    As a Senior Project/Construction Manager, this position shall be responsible for the management of large scale manufacturing projects involving central utilities, cleanroom construction, site development and process systems. Provide on-site construction management oversight during mobilization, site preparation, construction, fit-out, commissioning and occupancy. This position will also be responsible for the planning, procurement and execution of process equipment installations and oversite of third party consultants involved.

    Position is responsible to manage vendor and subcontractor procurement/ selection, conflict resolution, bidding, budgeting and the development of customer relationships. Knowledge of project controls, including information reporting, change order management, and process management are applied in day-to-day operations. Strong communication skills to all constituents and operating with a sense of urgency is a key success factor for this position. Project Managers are responsible for managing the entire construction process from pre-construction through to project close out, ensuring projects are delivered on time and on budget. Project execution strategies for this role will fill include working as an Owner’s Representative overseeing multiple trade contractors.

    Applicants for this position shall show experience in a similar role of projects over $500M from design through commissioning. Experience in offsite construction, modular construction, contract negotiation, QA/QC program development and safety leadership is preferred but not required.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • BA/BS Degree or have worked in the semiconductor construction industry for a minimum of 15 years
    • Experience in the overall project management role of semiconductor manufacturing projects over $500M in size.
    • Management of Design Build and Bid Build projects

    Preferred Requirements:

    • Experience in off-site construction
    • Experience in modular construction
    • Experience in contract negotiation
    • Experience in Safety Leadership
    • Experience in QA/QC Program Development
    • Experience in the development of Project Management process and procedures
