Job Description
Provide professional health care for employees of client companies under the direction of the supervising physician. Assist in planning and coordinating patient flow through the RTO clinic.Maintain records to meet medical, legal, and client company requirements.

Responsibilities include providing professional health care for employees of client companies under the direction of the supervising provider.  Will assist providers with interviewing patients for medical and occupational histories, participate in pre-placement periodic, special, return-to-work, and termination examinations, assist with patient vitals.  Will perform screening procedures, including EKGs, audiograms, pulmonary function tests, respirator fit tests, vision tests, blood draws and other biological specimens and prepare for lab analysis.  Assist in maintaining an efficient health service clinic, process OHS RTP clinic patients according to each company’s protocol.  Maintain records to meet medical, legal and client company requirements.  Will perform and document daily calibration checks on pulmonary function and audiometric equipment to meet OSHA requirements and validate test results.

Education

Graduation from a Medical Assistant program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education (CAAHEP) or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES). High school or GED graduation required. Certification by AAMA or AMT required. Certification by AAMA preferred.
