OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY
G
rade ophthalmic images from clinical research studies, prepare grading reports, and write grading instructions

WORK PERFORMED
Level 1:
  • Grade images according to Reading Center protocols as one of two readers who perform dual-reader image grading
  • Provide feedback to the Senior Technical Analyst, Project Manager and study sites regarding the quality of images submitted.
  • Help to certify study site technicians and photographers.
  • Perform study site technician and photographer evaluations and prepare evaluation reports.
  • Keep abreast of new developments and techniques in the field and recommend modifications to existing systems as necessary to improve quality and efficiency.
  • Assist all Duke Reading Center staff members as necessary to meet the needs of the various studies.
  • Attend Duke Reading Center group meetings as needed
  • Help to develop grade forms and grading work instructions

Education

Work requires a Bachelor degree in Biology, Chemistry or other related science (or equivalent) degree.
