Occupational Summary

Night/Weekend Office Staff, Duke Faculty Club (part-time)

Work Hours:  5 – 12 hours total per week.
Assist in the administration of the Duke Faculty Club office operations and in the supervision of club programs, policies, and procedures.   
Work Performed:

General Duties

1.  Responsible for creating a welcoming and informative office environment that promotes quality customer service and excellence.

2.  Participate in the operations of the office including but not limited to: 
  • Monitoring & assisting members with check-in process 
  • Answering member inquiries and providing front office assistance to DFC members
  • Providing administrative and clerical support to include data entry, copying and filing
  • Providing prospective members with informative tours of the facility
  • Other general office tasks and Special Events support as needed
3.  Oversight of the DFC facilities and grounds, abiding by opening and closing procedures, and enforcing club policies including but not limited to:
  • Covering/uncovering the lap pool during the spring and fall
  • Checking pool chemicals o Collecting trash on the patio and tennis courts
  • Monitoring the DFC parking lot during ball games/special events
  • Light office cleaning to include collecting trash, vacuuming, and dusting fitness equipment
4.  Committing to work at least one week night and one weekend shift a week.  

1.  Excellent customer service and communication skills. Prior experience in customer service industries preferred but not required
2.  Proper phone etiquette and office conduct 
3.  Ability to prioritize and adapt to a changing environment
4.  Strong computer skills:   Excel, Word, Access and web-based applications
5.  Organized and highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner
