Position Description
Role Summary: 

Manage use of approved logistics carriers (i.e. freight forwarders, LTL trucking partners, FTL trucking partners, Flat-Bed Trucking Providers) for international and domestic moves for Flowserve routed business. Manage thefacility’s export compliance program to be in compliance.
Logistics Responsibilities: 

  • Manage use of approved logistics carriers (i.e. freight forwarders, LTL trucking partners, FTL trucking partners, Flat-Bed Trucking Providers) for international and domestic moves for Flowserve routed business. 
  • Proactively communicate with internal departments to meet customer request dates (i.e. Planning,Customer Service, Supply Chain, Project Management, Finance, Human Resources.) 
  • Apply strong Incoterm knowledge(of freight expense and revenue recognition) to optimize logistics 
  • Ability to communicate deadlines to all internal departments (related to a Purchase Orders’ Incoterm) 
  • Handling of all Letter of Credit Shipments (post shipment, to insure proper documents are processed and customer’s pay to the Letter of Credit term)
  • Develop / Monitor Key Logistics Trends and Key Performance Indicators monthly 
  • Ability to Communicate and Analyze Logistics trends to provide guidance to Senior Management for optimizing logistics related costs and improving customer service
  • Communicate all Market Updates / Conditions to required departments as it may affect their customers 
Export Compliance Coordinator Responsibilities:
  • Manage the facility’s export compliance program to be in compliance with all applicable regulatory and Flowserve policy requirements 
  • Ensure the Flowserve Site’s Export license remains approved with all necessary regulatory filings submitted on time. 
  • Maintain all records of approval or denials of import / export requests 
  • Keep up-to-date on all applicable export laws, regulations and company policies 
  • Conduct internal training towards matters related to export control. Ensure site personnel are trained and using the export compliance tools for product and technology exports and re-exports. 
  • Investigate complex, cross functional/company and multi-location export compliance issues and assist with their resolution; partner with the corporate Trade Compliance Team on activities. 
  • Investigate compliance problems, questions, or complaints and when necessary, work with the corporate Trade Compliance Team, to make disclosures to government regulatory agencies; coordinate corrective actions with the business and track progress 
  • Work closely with external parties, such as customs brokers and freight forwarders,and suppliers to drive continuous improvement, ensure quality performance, and regulatory compliance

  • Prior export experience
    with manufactured engineered products while working within a global
    organization is strongly desired

Position Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or
    equivalent; five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent
    combination of education and experience.
  • Experience working with
    Customs brokers and freight forwarders 
  • Knowledge of basic U.S.
    Customs regulations and Free Trade Agreements (NAFTA, AUSFTA, KORUSFTA) 
  • Detailed understanding
    of export process with the ability to identify opportunities to improve
    process; take remedial actions when/where necessary; and develop and implement
    lasting process improvements. 
  • Extremely Proactive
    with a High Attention to Detail and Ability to Effectively Communicate with all
