SAS Autism Spectrum Internship Program – Summer 2020 (Expression of Interest)

As an intern in the Autism Spectrum Internship Program, you will have the opportunity to work at a company that creates analytics software that turns data – about customers, operations, financials, and more – into insight. In over 140 countries, our customers use SAS to battle cybercrime, speed drugs to market, streamline supply chains, boost marketing, and so much more.
You’ll partner with some of the brightest minds in the world on business-critical projects, and you’ll have the opportunity to be immersed in our award-winning culture, grow your social and professional network, interact with our senior leadership, and share your contributions with the company.
The internship experience will have two components – training & onboarding and on-the-job work experience during the summer from May – August 2020.
The training and onboarding period will begin in February until April 2020 with a series of paid virtual and/or on-site meetings (depending on your location) with the diversity program team, intern program manager, your manager and team. The purpose is to ease the transition from classroom to workplace and help equip you with the information, resources, and skills to set you up for success at SAS. If you are hired in this program, you will be notified of the dates/times; however, you can anticipate approximately 10-12 hours of training during this timeframe.
The on-the-job internship experience will begin in May and end in August 2020 at our headquarters in Cary, NC. This will be a full-time paid summer internship of approximately 35 – 40 hours per week. - Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university seeking a degree in a technical / quantitative course of study (Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Information Systems, Economics, etc).
- Programming experience with Java, C, C++, Python, or other programming languages.
- Students must not be graduating prior to the beginning of the summer internship and be enrolled to return to school after the entire internship ends (graduating in or after December 2020).
- Must be capable of working in a collaborative office environment.
- Able to participate in training beginning in February 2020 and work full-time throughout the summer intern from May 2020 until August 2020, with a graduation date of December 2020 or later.
