Position Information

The Supv, AHEC, EHR/Clinical Data provides highly skilled expertise in clinical informatics and quality improvement consulting services to physicians and physician practices throughout the Wake AHEC region. Services include core team workforce performance, clinical reports and decision support, and practice transformation to promote evidence-based care and to meet quality initiative program objectives. Through individualized quality improvement consulting with physicians and other patient care providers, the Supv, AHEC, EHR/Clinical Data facilitates data analysis related to clinical quality measures and advises practices on methods to improve patient outcomes. This position interacts with a diverse group of individuals and agencies to ensure improvement efforts and results are documented, and guides practices in demonstrating compliance with federally required milestones for optimized use of EHR data and improved patient outcomes related to value-based incentive programs. This position oversees Wake AHEC Practice Support coaching services and trains the AHEC quality improvement coaching staff. Specialized skills include working knowledge of multiple EHR systems for data reporting, NCQA quality standards, Medicare & Medicaid value-based incentive measures, and quality improvement methodologies.
